Since 1991 the Old Town Festival has been bringing together thousands of people from right across Swindon to celebrate our community, showcase local talent and businesses while raising funds for local charities.
The Old Town Festival returned to Swindon for its 28th year in June 2019 – attracting over 17,000 visitors from the local area. The festival kicked off in style with the Parade through Wood Street, the Lawns family fun day and culminating in the Bowl Concert. This year’s festival was bigger and better than ever before with a full week of events with family cycles, a Jazz night, a quiz night, and Sparkling Afternoon tea.
However, the Old Town Festival isn’t just about bringing the community together and showcasing the very best of what our area has to offer, but it also raises funds for its Charity of the Year – this summer it was Wiltshire Search and Rescue.
Almost £1,400 was raised for the charity by generous festival goers and during the fringe events helping the charity with its vital work.
The Old Town Festival is put on by the people of Swindon, for the people of Swindon. The Festival is organised and run by volunteers and is only possible due to the generosity of our local community – thanks for your continued support!
